    INVITATION TO THE CONFERENCE

    On behalf of the organizing commitee you are cordialy invited to attend the 6th IBN SINA International Conference on Pure and Applied Heterocyclic Chemistry, which will be held in Cairo, Egypt, from Saturday 13th to Tuesday 16th December 1997.
    We welcome your interest and participation in this conference, and invite you to complete and return the attached preliminary registration form. We extend this invitation to all scientists to participate on this conference, and look forward to seeing you in Cairo in Dec. 1997.

    SCOPE AND TOPICS

    The purpose of the conference is to bring together scientists from universities, research institutes and industry from all around the world, to discuss current developments and new perspectives of:
    "HETEROCYCLIC CHEMISTRY FOR THE 21st Century"
    Plenary and invited prominent lectures will be included in the conference programme.
    Oral and poster presentations as well as panel discussions will be organized.

    LOCATION

    EGYPT is a country that gathers five thousand years of history and modern civilization culture in beautiful setting.
    Cairo: the center of the conference, a city that blends togther the east, the west, the ancient and the modern cultures as, illustrated by the famous museums, mosques and churches. The pyramids stand high and glorious, all guided by the wisdom of the sphinxs, and enriched by the flow of the River Nile.

    ACCOMMODATION

    The details of accommodation facilities will be provided in the second announcement.

    CONFERENCE LANGUAGE

    The official language of the conference is ENGLISH. No translation services will be provided

    CLIMATE

    The Weather in Egypt in December is normally moderate, with temperatures ranging from 18oC to 9oC. Long sunny and warn days are always expected. Rain or showers are rare forecast.

    ENTRY VISA

    Foreign participants must have a valid passport and entry visa. Visas are to be obtained from the Egyptian consulate or embassy in their countries.

    OFFICIAL CARRIER

    EGYPT AIR has been appointed as official carrier for the conference. A special high discount will be given to the attendants. It will be (50%) of the promotional fare. Please show this announcement to the nearest EGYPT AIR agency in your country.

    The registration fees for active participants and accompanying persons include attendance of the opening ceremony, various social events, throughout the conference (reception, sightseeing, lunches, symposium Banquet). In addition for active participants the registration fees include participation in the scientific programme, conference documents, book of abstracts plus refreshments.
